I'm openin' up, move over resistance.

For many years I have been guided, directed, recommended, pointed and moved towards writing. From friends, therapist's, my guides, family, healers, my astrology chart, you name it, all gently saying "Dana why don't you write about it". I kept trying, a journal like I did for my most of teens and early 20's, but that wasn't working. Automatic practice writing the first 15 minutes upon waking, that never seemed to stick beyond 3 days. Then facebook came along, and I got to write in 3 to 5 word statements. Well that felt comfortable, fun, and easy, but also like an easy out. The funny and obvious part of this resistance, is I often recommend writing as an outlet and a channel for healing and creation to my friends, family, clients and patients. But I myself have resisted. I know there is a writer in me, the communicator, that has been hiding behind the spelling errors, friends and boyfriends that were and are all writers, the typos, poor grammar, the funny habit of making up words that sound right to me, but sometimes only me, and of course the fear of embarrassment, and failure, has all kept me from from writing publicly.
So then, just a few words to start this new journey with me here, let me start with Welcome. Thank you for being here with me. I have no idea what this will be but a window into my life, my heart, my head. What an amazing journey that I am on in southern California, and I would love to share more of it with all of you. Over the last 10 plus years I have gathered up quite an interesting and amazing assortment of knowledge, experiences, and personal insights, that I feel (very vulnerably so) ready to share with all of you.
Love you,
Dana
